About the Artist;
Hello and welcome. My hobby has been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember.
My childhood summers were spent walking the land on my
grandparents farm.I believe that's why I enjoy painting landscapes
so much. A landscape can tell you much more than simply the time of
day.
Near my grandfather's barn
there were old cars sitting from the 1930's and 40's. I would try to
imagine the places these cars had been and who had once driven them.
That was my inspiration for painting automotive art.
After high school I joined the Marines for tuition. I completed a BA in Arts Administration from Pfeiffer University and I'm currently a Museum Studies Grad student with Johns Hopkins University. In 2006 my work was shown at The Hickory Museum of Art and I painted a Veteran's Day mural for the City of Concord, NC. In 2008 I was asked to help paint a mural for the Extreme Makeover Home in Charlotte. Painting has been a blessing and I enjoy the relaxing process of making art. In 2010 I illustrated my first children's book and I look forward to doing more writing and illustrating.
Thanks for visiting.
