About the Artist;
Hello from North Carolina. I'm a realist painter and my subject matter is often a
landscape or automotive fine art.
I've been painting since I was eight and that's when I began walking the landscape on my
grandparents farm. That's why I enjoy painting landscapes
so much. A landscape can tell you much more than simply the time of
day.
Near my grandfather's barn
there were some old cars from the 1930's and 40's. I would try to
imagine the places these cars had been and who had once driven them.
That was my inspiration for painting automotive related art.
My parents encouraged me with art workshops but I needed money for college. After high school I joined the Marines for the tuition. I majored in Arts Administration at Pfeiffer University and my work was shown at The Hickory Museum of Art group exhibition in 2006. My art is currently featured on the CNN.com virtual art gallery and I'm working on a series of paintings for a gallery exhibition in 2009. I'm also a member of CIVA, Christians in the Visual Arts. I know that painting has been a blessing in my life so I thank the Lord for guiding my hands and saving me.
On my journey as an artist, I want to thank those who have supported and purchased my work over the years.
In 2008 I will offer workshops on drawing, painting and creating murals so if you are interested just email me for more information.
Thanks for visiting.
